Leadership Pasadena and the Junior League of Pasadena delivered a new kind of charity event to the area on Saturday, November 9 with Setting the Table: The World of Conversation – a visual extravaganza with 28 gorgeous designed tables plus great bites, beverages, dessert and auction.
Event Co-Chair Jeanne Chung explained, “My vision was to see the creative forces in the Pasadena design community come together and inspire by pushing the boundaries of design, and on Saturday they did exactly that.”
Event Co-Chair Anthony Guthmiller of Aluxe shared a similar vision for this event – to provide a vehicle and venue where creative souls could interpret their ideas into a table setting that would inspire others. “They say art is the truest expression of one’s soul. I was thrilled to see all the creative expression… the time, energy and art that was created in each of the tablescapes was so inspiring,” explained Guthmiller, “it was also great to see people connect with each other. Imagine what will happen from all these connections and inspiration.”
Jordi & Co with Jacob Maarse Florists and David Orgell San Marino, the Pasadena Humane Society and Forest Lawn took top honors each winning a $6,000 full page ad in DREAMS Magazine. Proceeds of the evening benefited Leadership Pasadena and the Junior League of Pasadena.
