The Places You Should Go
Editor’s Letter from Dreams Travel Issue 2019
Close your eyes for a moment and visualize getting away from it all. Just let your mind wander and take you somewhere far away.
It could be to a place with palm trees gently swaying in the ocean breeze while turquoise waters lap the white sandy shore. Perhaps your mind roams to a steep and rugged hillside vista overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Or maybe your idea of finding peace and serenity is simply relaxing and being pampered in a five-star hotel.
Wherever your ideal vacation destination may be, I bet you can find it in the pages that follow. This year’s Travel Issue takes you on a journey encompassing the globe in search of the finest places to vacation.
From our ‘Up The Coast’ section to ‘Island Hopping’ in the South Pacific; and our ‘International Travel’ and ‘In the City’ staycations (and more!), rest assured we’ve done our homework to provide you with the best luxe travel recommendations.
Traveling up the rugged coast of California from San Diego to Napa Valley, we take you to many luxury resorts and boutique hotels where you can enjoy the best our great state has to offer. Along the way we’ll stop in our hometown Los Angeles and introduce you to a bevy of five-star hotels that promise to de-stress you from the city life, then sip wine together in the rolling hills and elegant wineries of Napa while gourmet executive chefs whip up locally sourced, organic meals.
We venture far out to sea to stay in overwater bungalows in the aqua-tinted South Pacific islands and visit several extravagant hotel properties located on the Hawaiian Islands. Coming back to land we head straight to the desert for Michelin Sta r dining and high stakes gambling in Las Vegas.
And last but certainly not least, we pay a visit to international destinations. Steeped in history and timeless elegance, we take you on a journey through Europe while staying at the best-of-the-best hotels. Visit the Asian continent where lush tropical paradises in southeast Asia and towering Himalayan fortresses in the north await.
It’s always been said that traveling opens your eyes to new cultures and experiences. I agree, but am proud to add that in this year’s Travel Issue, we introduce you to a whole new world of vacationing.
