At 6 foot 7, Matt Mahoney, the founder of clothing line William Mahoney, is well acquainted with the struggles a tall and athletic man faces in a world that doesn’t cater to their needs. When Troy Russell was young, his mom would ask what he wanted to do when he grew up and his answer was always “I want to wear a suit”, as he connected wearing a suit and dressing elegantly to being successful. When Russell moved to Los Angeles he started working with better menswear stores and dedicated himself to learning how to wear clothing, style outfits, and carry himself like a gentleman. In 2016 Russell started working in the bespoke side of the industry and fell deeper in love with cloth and how a suit should be properly constructed.
