Instant fog windows and doors are a popular new home addition. Instead of curtains or traditional wood doors, with a push of a button you can fog up the windows and doors throughout your home for a sensual aesthetic. In my projects I use fleetwood doors/windows and order them without the glass, then I order the glass from pulpstudio.com.
Smart home technology
In the age of technology, upgrading your home with smart home technology can be a beneficial way to streamline your home’s electrical system. With a touch of a button on your iPad, you can lock the doors, turn the music up and turn the lights down for a relaxing evening at home. I like to use Control4 for all my project home automation needs.
Lighting technology
Color changing lights have become the latest renovation trend throughout luxury homes and pools. These fun recess lights can be programmed to change colors to music and beats to make for a lively evening. Philips Hue bulbs are the easiest and most cost-effective color changing lights that I like to use in my projects. What’s great is that you can change the color of the bulbs with an app on your phone!
Alternative Green Energy
Most pool systems are ran by gas operated systems, but a lot of my clients are swapping out their old pumps for solar panels. It’s not only a more eco-friendly alternative, but it’s also more cost-efficient for luxury homes. In addition to the eco-friendly swap, we have also been installing iAquaLink, which is a pool monitoring technology that makes managing and regulating your pool easy through an app on your phone.
Heated floors and Steam Showers
Custom heated floors and steam showers define luxury when it comes to a home renovation addition. This type of renovation really personalizes the home to fit the homeowners lifestyle and needs.
